You are my sunshine when days are grey
There are so many things I already love about Huntington Beach (the annual US Open of Surfing, the hotels and restaurants along Pacific Coast Highway, and of course, the beach). I am so excited that Pacific City is finally here and it is definitely an addition to my HB faves list. Mind you, it is still growing and expanding but what is already in place has so much to offer. The views, the variety of shops and restaurants, the artistic courtyards and vibe, and a new place to just lounge, walk around and explore with the beautiful deep blue sea in sight.
My favorite shopping store so far is The Plantation Hawaii. This store has so much displayed out and it is beautifully merchandised. The perfect place to pick up a gift for someone or to just TREAT.YO.SELF! Which is what I did (haha). The close up picture above shows my latest purchase from there. A handmade gold classic and unique piece that reads 'Aloha' with a mini heart. Don't get me wrong, every time I wear my new necklace I wish I was in Hawaii; but at least now I can wear it and take that Aloha spirit I received from the friendly staff at The Plantation Hawaii and FEEL like I'm sippin' a mai tai garnished with an orchid while lounging in a hammock in Hawaii. I love Hawaii but I love Huntington Beach also for different reasons and Pacific City is one of them.
I decided that with the chilly weather we've been having lately I would incorporate a grey day outfit overall color scheme. I knew I wanted to wear my David & Young hat so I pretty much used this as my starting point and statement piece. I used different shades of grey and black to complement and contrast one another. Although my outfit vibe was on the grey side my day was sunny and bright.
Love and Aloha,
