Hello Kitty

Hello Kitty

Although I wish this cafe was a permanent tenant at Irvine Spectrum, I feel it makes it even more intriguing and classification worthy of a "go-to" since it is only a temporary pop-up.  Hello Kitty brings me back to that state of my childhood where I would secretly compete with my friends on who had the bigger and more elaborate Keroppi collection.  And remember that feeling of accomplishment when you filled up your stamp card and were eligible for a free gift?!!  Ah, I will forever cherish those simple nostalgic goals.

As for this modern day HK cafe, it truly is an experience that makes you feel tickled pink and topped off with a shower of pastel confetti.  There are various iced, hot and espresso drinks to choose from; however, there are no milk alternatives which is a bit disappointing.  All of the desserts are decorated with so much detail that they appear too cute to bite into!  My favorite was the HK sugar cookie and the covered in sprinkles birthday cake.  The best part about the cafe is the fact that it is so small.  It almost feels exclusive to secure a table - so if you are lucky to see one open - sit down, relax, and indulge in the cuteness and sweetness overload.

As for my casual attire choice, I was simply excited to wear boots and a jacket now that the weather is cooling down.  It only seemed appropriate that I wear a vintage jean jacket while visiting a place that took me back to feeling like circa '93.
