Merci

Some of my favorite places to unwind and enjoy the moment are at coffee shops.  But not just ANY coffee shop - my faves are the Ma and Pa spots that make you feel like you're at home away from home.  Ma and Pa joints never-ever disappoint!  They are authentic, unique and memorable.  That being said, my first visit to Wild Goose Bakery Cafe in Carmel Valley easily became a part of my 'When in Carmel...' experience list.  It feels so warm and rustic inside, their outside patio is the ultimate daydream and ponder about life type of setting, and they serve their coffee/espresso, etc.  in the cutest unique mugs.  My mug had the word Merci written on it which I felt was so fitting to describe how I felt that day.  I was simply thankful to hang out near my hometown, enjoy that small town feel, sit down and relax sippin' my fave beverage (chai tea latte) and appreciate the people, places and beautiful surroundings all around me that day.  Doesn't hurt that there is also a secret tire swing nestled among a tree on the same street that you know I had to explore!!!

As for my attire, I am all about that crispy cold air weather vibe!  It's so easy to dress basic and casual yet still feel cute and appropriately dressed for the season and setting.  My go to's are leggings, a worn vintage jean jacket, a plaid scarf, sneakers and a cute baseball cap.  I am obsessed with baseball hats and this one I love because the 'D' is such a conversation starter.  Does is stand for Detroit?  Dreamer??  Diva???  This particular 'D' hat stands for Disneyland and I obvi wear it to other happy places other than the happiest.
