So I've been on this 'try to not buy any more collectors items' aka 'cutting down on clothing shopping' mode since the beginning of the new year.  When I narrowed my main outfit down to a black and hinted gold jumpsuit and Marc Jacobs gold sparkly heels that were already in my closest and *cough-cough* never worn, the ensemble seemed to just be lacking an overall completeness.  The jumpsuit has super thin straps and the weather has been extremely chilly so it didn't seem appropriate to just wear as is.  Contrary to my 'use what you already have in your closet' rule I just couldn't find an additional item that meshed well.  Therefore, I gave myself the green light to find a shawl/jacket/cover up to match.  The ensemble hero of the day was Forever 21.  Forever 21 never lets me down!  They offer pieces that are trendy and affordable and do not make you feel too guilty for splurging on a new wardrobe item.  I found this perfect gold velvet wrap that totally complemented the hints of gold in my jumpsuit and the bling of my heels.  Threw on some huge gold earring hoops, a ton of fun rings, and purchased some just-for-fun mini party pinatas at Urban Outfitters.  Sometimes it's OK to break your own rules and I was so happy I did because my new gold wrap gave my whole outfit that shimmery and sparkly backup dancer look.  Let's just say I felt on-set ready to partake in the dance chorus choreography in Bruno Mars' 24k Magic music video.
