It's always tea time

It's always tea time

One of my favorite times of the day is tea time.  I was over the top excited when I found out Disneyland's Steakhouse 55 restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel was offering afternoon tea.  I made reservations faster than the White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland and was so excited to indulge in a royal tea party.  Just walking into the restaurant I felt as if I was within a timeless Hollywood elegant event.  I selected the Premium Tea Party which consisted of sparking wine, my choice of my own pot of tea, salad, scones, tea sandwiches, assorted desserts and a farewell truffle.  Every aroma, taste and morsel was unforgettable and the service made me feel like a Disney royal princess.  The portion size is visually deceiving because when it comes out although the presentation is stunning and traditionally classic, you can't help but silently in your mind say to yourself 'that's it?!!!'  The absolute key to keep in mind is tea is to be enjoyed at a moderate to even slow pace so you have time to actually enjoy not just what is to be savored but also the company of those around you.  The portion ended up being more than enough and I am so thankful for such a regal and royal day.  Thank you Disneyland Hotel!

As for my choice of attire I wanted to dress up but was not sure how 'all-out' I could go without looking too much like I was begging to be cast in the next Alice in Wonderland movie.  I decided on a simple maxi dress that was regal because of its jeweled royal purple color.  The host complimented my dress when we checked in and I had to admit to her that I specifically chose the dress to feel like a Princess for the day....and I sure did!

Time for tea,
