Dapper Day

Obviously the most comfy and typical attire when visiting Disneyland would be comfortable leisurewear; however, I always look forward to Dapper Day where you get to celebrate your own refined style and be a part of an event that celebrates all things fashion.  It is so fun to get creative with your ensemble and be inspired from fashion history or even the vibes of today.  Dressing dapper adds a little refinery to your park visit and makes you feel like a Micky Mouse club VIP fashionista.  Twirl around your white lace parasol, click around the park grounds in your high heels, and pout your lips blowing kisses to other park goers in your bright red lipstick.  It's fun getting into character and playing dress up like when you were younger and it definitely is a great day to people watch and check out the unique fashion styles of all.  There is never not a good time to dress up for any occasion and I encourage everyone to always be their most dapper self wherever they go and whatever they do.  For inspiration, check out http://dapperday.com for ideas that you might already have in your closet or use it as a resource to splurge on a little retail therapy for the next Dapper Day, or any day for that matter.  

I was inspired by the classic look of Minnie Mouse.  I wore a comfortable and lightweight red and white polka dot wrap dress, paired it with a chunky pearl necklace, gold heels for my pictures and gold flats to change into (HA!), a white lace parasol and a red Mickey Mouse shaped clutch.
