Feed your soul

Feed your soul

I am a firm believer of feeding your soul with passion, art, and newness.  That being said, this weekend I had the opportunity to nourish my mind, body, and spirit at the Think Tank Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles.  The gallery is currently hosting and presenting, Break Bread, a tasty (pun intended) series in collaboration with Bay-to-LA artists Scott Hove and Baker's Son, running only from February 13th - March 13, 2016.  I highly recommend a visit here for the opportunity to see mind stimulating and thought provoking art, to be immersed in a playful and yummy environment, and to most importantly have fun enjoying something new and limited edition (both in quality and in time since it is only here until mid March!)

As for the outfit I chose for my artistic adventure, I knew first and foremost I wanted to rock my 7 for all mankind chunky boots so I could comfortably strut around Downtown Los Angeles.  I paired it with a floppy hat (which allowed for some killer silhouette shapes in the mirrored TV maze/room).  When you already have statement boots and accessories and want to keep your overall look more on the casual side; a basic tee and jeans are simple and effortless go-to complementary pieces.  Last but not least, frost it up with an artistic necklace and a few rings and bangles.

When going to places with a lot of character to the environment, consider letting the detail of your surroundings also work as a statement piece for your overall look.  The pictures you take will showcase your surroundings; therefore, dress for the occasion and the environment.

Stay hungry,
