Relaxed, refreshed and regal at Royal Lahaina Resort
The Royal Lahaina Resort surpassed my expectations in terms of hospitality, comfort, beauty and Aloha. From the moment we arrived and at the gate, the attendant greeted us with a joyful smile, waved the shaka sign and shouted, "Welcome HOME!" Immediately my mood transformed to happy to elated! The front desk staff and ALL the staff there treat you like Ohana. The tower rooms are beyond pleasing in terms of comfort, views, and style. You truly feel that the decor alone makes the space turn from a hotel vibe to instead a mini home for your vacation. And lathering yourself in the coconut body wash, soap and lotions provided mellow your mood to just 'hang loose.' The two pools, beach bar, sunset barstools are beyond enjoyable and positioned in the most picturesque spots. There is not much else around the hotel (which personally I prefer). You truly feel like you're completely removed from the crowds and tourists and you get to peacefully indulge in the calmness of the ocean and the colors of the sky. They have a super cute ice cream shop, small grocery store, and an infamous luau (which I am so disappointed I didn't get to watch - hopefully SOMEDAY). Another great perk was the free trolley which takes you to other nearby hotels and Whalers Village (shopping and dining).
Whalers Village is where I found the store Fashionista Maui. I was greeted by the owner, Divine, and she sure is the definition of her name. Not only is she so welcoming and inviting, but she DESIGNS majority of the clothes in her store. She is super sweet and super talented and I absolutely loved the dress I bought from her. It was a beautiful gem fuchsia colored dress that wraps, flows, and hugs all the right spots in my body. It's a little bit of a teaser dress because it covers you up yet it's so sexy and revealing at the same time. I wish I had bought it in black too!! Everything about my trip to Maui this time made me feel relaxed, refreshed and regal and I cannot wait to go back again soon!
