Disneyland - A Touch of Disney (must haves, tips and tricks)

One full year + into the Covid-19 pandemic, Disneyland was finally able to open up the gates with A Touch of Disney event. A way to rediscover the magic of the California Adventure Disneyland Resort with food, fun, and ambiance. The event is already sold out but it definitely is a taste to what’s to come once the park reopens soon in April 2021.

Tips and Tricks:

  • Download and/or update the Disneyland mobile app for the easiest access to food. With the app there are very little lines, you can order from anywhere in the park, and plan your meals throughout the day,

  • Take advantage of the various outdoor seating areas. There are SO many tables set up throughout the park. Soak in the ambiance everywhere and switch it up.

  • My favorite spots to dine and enjoy are:

    • looking at the cars land landscape

    • in front of the pier

    • the tables at Wine Country Trattoria

    • the small campy area with a few benches to the left of Fly ‘n Buy / across from Soarin’

    • the tables in the Redwood Creek Challenge trail area.

  • Share bites with your party (or enjoy it all yourself!) If you’re comfortable sharing you can get multiple food tastes in by splitting.

  • Get in some steps and exercise. Stretch out your day by walking off the well enjoyed calories by walking throughout the park in between bites and just soaking in the Disney magic or check out the many shops.

Foodie must haves:

  • Monte Cristo Sandwich (1/2) - the sauce, the melt, the crunch and soft doughy goodness is hands down the best! Combo of sweet/salty/savory.

  • Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats - Pineapple and lemon swirl on a cone. Not too sweet, not too cold. A refreshing quench and smooth dessert.

  • Pear A Dice sodas in Cars Land - refreshing floral and fruity pink drink. Perfect for a bright and cheery photo op.

What to wear:

  • With the start of spring, the sun is out. I encourage you to pack and wear:

    • your most comfy shoes (I prefer tennis shoes, but rock what you want)

    • a hat

    • light jacket if you plan on staying at night

    • sunnies

    • plan and accessorize (whether it’s Disney style, your style, it’s always fun to dress up when going to a fun filled adventure)

Most of all, enjoy the people, the cast, the scene, the vibe and just bringing your magical self. Your day is bound to be a page in a fairytale at A Touch of Disney!

Have a magical day,

J9
