Enter into serenity at Hakone Gardens - one of the oldest Japanese-style residential gardens in the Western Hemisphere
You really do feel like you’ve entered into a dream realm when you visit this hidden gem in Saratoga, California. A great place for a day trip, visit on a weekend getaway, and to escape the world’s reality.
The drive up is beautiful, the staff are gracious, and the beauty of the manicured gardens full of trees and flowers gives you so much peace and serenity. You can walk through and explore the magical views or just sit and breathe in the stillness, sights, and sounds. Most of all, you leave feeling refreshed and re-healed.
To do: soak up the views/stroll/leisurely hike/sit and relax/meditate:
There are many guided pathways and due to physical distancing restrictions the paths are pretty 1 way (but allows for you to see all)
The best part of walking to the top would be to enjoy the hills of Saratoga overlooking Silicon valley (a must see)
Ascend the moon bridge over the pond and feel like you’re in a movie
Immerse yourself in the bamboo gardens
Koi pond garden is a great place to sit for stillness and meditation
Wonderful waterfall that flows beautifully into the lower garden (find the pathway that is in the middle of the upper and lower garden for the best photo op!)
